Nevis is fortunate to be blessed/equipped with 8 banks viz, The Bank of Nevis Ltd., The St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank, Barclays Bank PLC, The Bank of Nova Scotia, The Caribbean Banking Corporation, The Nevis Credit Union, The Development Bank of St.Kitts and Nevis, and the Foundation for National Development; thus this shows that there is great financial availability. In purchasing property any amount can be bought by nationals, whilst foreigners are only allowed up to 1/2 acre except in designated areas where approved by Government eg. properties grandfathered with large acreages, development sites with Hotel Industry opportunity and Sitesset aside for Economic Citizenship. In any case Government must approve the sale and become satisfied that the purchaser is fit to own property on the Island. This is done via a Government to Government check of the particular purchaser along with their police records etc. Basics(Laws, Rules and regulations)in property purchase or disposition. When purchasing or selling property each party must be Legally represented. Properties must be thoroughly checked and researched for encumbrances and caveats.
